Rosary Rally

Cold, damp weather did not deter the devotees to America Needs Fatima’s 2018 Rosary Rally on Oct. 13th.  This year, hosted by Post 386, the Rally was moved indoors due to the weather.  Besides parishioners of St. Francis of Assisi and Sacred Heart Churches in Newburgh, members of St. Patrick’s Church in Newburgh and the surprise of members of St. Mary’s Parish in Fishkill, St. Thomas/St. Joseph Parish in Cornwall and New Windsor and Most Precious Blood Parish in Walden heightened the joy of a group unified in praying for the United States of America.

October 14th, 2017 the Catholic War Veterans Post 386 sponsored the annual Rosary Rally at 12:00 Noon in front of Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh.  Participants recited the Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary as traffic passed by in both directions on Route 9W.  At exactly Noon (according to local time zones), almost 22,000 identical Rosary Rallies took place across the country.  That’s close to 10 times the number of Rosary Rallies since they began in 2007.  This year marked the 100th anniversary of the appearance of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima, Portugal.
