Veteran’s Breakfast at Sacred Heart School

Post 386 was invited for breakfast on Monday, Nov. 14th at the Sacred Heart School in Newburgh.  The kids put on a beautiful presentation for us and made us feel so welcome.  Here are a couple of pictures from our visit.

We were also presented with a beautiful picture painted just for us by Sr. Patricia who is visiting from Italy.  We didn’t get to meet her this morning, but hope to when we pick up the painting.  We couldn’t take it with us yet, as the painting wasn’t dry yet.

The younger students sang God Bless America and a special song just for us.  You guys were great!  Thank you.
As we were being entertained, some of the other students came around and took our orders.
Ray Lopez proudly shows off some of the artwork of these talented students.
Commander Bob Schiela presented Principal LoriAnne Evanko and Sr. Ana new flags for their classrooms.
Here’s the painting we mentioned.  It’s still wet, so we’ll pick it up later.  And hopefully meet the artist.
Here we are with some of the students.  Thank you again, for an absolutely lovely morning.
